World Environment Day was celebrated on 5th June. Many, especially school kids, enthusiastically came forward to create awareness about preserving forests and protecting trees. Good to see that a large majority does not consider sustainable development as trivial.

An eighteen year old Neelam mango tree at my place which flowered this summer for the first time as if it anticipated my mom's plans to fell it post this season if it is not going to bear fruits.

Good one Sonia! So nice to see all those trees that had great roles in our childhood. And the mango tree is intelligent - I think it could do some mindreading..The post reminded me of my grandma's place. The new colour looks cool...And thanks dear...
